Drought and the Empty Bude Canal

We have had just the most lovely Summer, but sadly the lack of rain caused the Bude Canal to dry up and we had to stop canoe experiences early on the 17th August.

We are really hoping that while the canal is empty repairs can be made and winter rains will replenish the water levels ready for next spring.

2019 / 20 Cornwall Tourism Awards

Last Thursday night we headed off to Truro Cathedral to attend the Cornwall Tourism Awards. Nominated in two categories we waited patiently to find out how we did.

First up was Best Active and Sporting Experience where we were awarded Silver!

Second up was Best Learning Experience where we were awarded Gold!

As you can imagine we are all over the moon to be recognised like this for the second year in a row at such a prestigious event.

A huge thank you must go to all our fantastic customers for their continued support and everyone else that has contributed behind the scenes. You are all appreciated very much.

Canoeing! One of the BEST Outdoor Activities?

Well we certainly think so!
According to a ranking survey by Rank.com canoeing is the 5th most FUN outdoor activity you can do! Currently only beaten by camping, star gazing, hiking and swimming! Take a look at the survey and you can even take part!

P.S. According to the Cornwall Tourism Awards and Trip Adviser, the Bude Canoe Experience is one of the best outdoor activities you can do in Bude and indeed the South West 😉
